My favorite thing
This photobook is a carton box with 16 "straight on" photographs of 16 different objects that belongs to 16 different people without a home. We asked them to stand for a portrait by letting us photograph their most favorite object they had in their possession.
To look at an object, knowing that this is someones most beloved or walued pice of property, it tells us something very basic about who that person is in a very exposing and direct way without even show what the person looks like. When you are forced to be mobile and bring all of your stuff with you wherever you go, it might be easeier make a clear and honest selection of what that favorite thing might be.
